Participation Fees
**All  fees are now subject to WA Sales Tax.**
**Rates are based on the municipality where an event is located**
**All Rates are listed Pre-Tax. Final cost will be found on your Invoice**

Honor Festival – Senior
Participant Fee - $20.00 (approved 22-23 school year)

Admission to Senior Concert - By Donation (VENMO, Credit Card or make checks payable to SJMEA)

Honor Festival – Junior
Participant Fee - $20.00 (approved 22-23 school year)

Admission to Junior Concert - By Donation  (VENMO, Credit Card or make checks payable to SJMEA)

Elementary Choir Festival
Participant Fee - $10 (approved 23-24 school year)

Admission to Concert - By Donation  (VENMO, Credit Card or make checks payable to SJMEA)

Large Group Contest - Senior and Junior
Junior Participation Fee - $150.00 (approved 22-23 school year)
Senior Band/Orchestra Fee - $150.00 (approved 22-23 school year)
Senior Choir Fee - $175.00 (adopted 13-14)

Solo/Ensemble Contest – Senior and Junior
Solo Participation Fee - $20.00

Ensemble Participation Fee - $25.00 (approved 23-24 school year)

Jazz Festival
Jazz Participation Fee - $150.00 (approved 22-23 school year)

Contractor Honorariums
Mileage Reimbursement - IRS Rate (72.5 cents) (updated January 2026)
(All Reimbursements must be approved by the treasurer.  Reimbursements without a receipt will not be paid)

Honor Events/Elementary
Guest Conductor - $400.00 plus mileage and lunch. Dinner for Senior Event.  (updated 22-23)
Guest Conductor / Extra Rehearsal - $75.00 plus mileage (Only for Senior Event) 
Piano Accompanist - $50.00 per hour (not to exceed $350) (updated 22-23)

Large Group Contest, Solo/Ensemble, Jazz Festival - Senior and Junior 
Adjudicator – Whole day - $300.00 plus mileage and lunch (updated 18-19)
Adjudicator – Half day or less - $150.00 plus mileage and lunch for ½ day (updated 18-19)
$25 per half hour above contract (partial day hourly document on hub)

Elementary
Event Coordinator - $200 / Site Host - $150

Junior and Senior Honor Festival (JR update adopted 24-25)
Event Coordinator - $600 ($200 per ensemble)  / Site Host - $300


Junior Solo/Ensemble
Event Coordinator - $300 / Site Host - $300

Senior Solo/Ensemble
Event Coordinator - $450 / Site Host - $450

Senior, Junior Large Group, Jazz Festival (including ALL large group events)

Event Coordinator - $200 per day / Site Host - $100 per day (updated and approved 23-24 school year)


Webmaster - $500 (approved 22-23 school year)
Bookkeeper - $1000 – full year (approved 22-23 school year)

Partial day hourly and overtime document on SJMEA Hub

** Lunch is provided. All events can divide stipends however they wish **
